Speaker: Jonathan Shubert – 31 years old and a science teacher. Between May 2013- May 2014, he circumnavigated the globe by bicycle. Three weeks after returning to the UK, he won the RTTC national 24 hour TT championship. Earlier this year he set the end to end, cycling record across Oman, a country which is a similar in length to the UK, lowering the existing mark from six days to sub two for a new world record.

He will be talking about the most challenging chapter of his round the world journey, crossing the Gobi desert in the depths of winter, 2013/2014.
