Christmas bash, no speaker, but a lot of FUN (see below).
Stilton & Peppercorn mushrooms Traditional Christmas Dinner or Nut Roast Vanilla cheesecake & limoncello coulis
Once again this lunch has proved very popular and I am sorry that I had had to restrict the number of guests that are able to attend, but if I did not, it would mean reverting to four rows of tables which as you will remember makes access and the serving of food very difficult.
Please remind your guests that what is said in The Pedal Club remains there, and also of our dress and behaviour codes.
Our Master of Ceremonies, Assistant Secretary and Past President, Keith Penfold Esq would like to remind you that all members and guests are encouraged to participate in the loud tie competition and club ties do not need to be worn for this Lunch and forfeits will be levied.
Cravats, bow ties, shirts and jackets, socks and hats are all acceptable as long the clothing is loud. No timidity for the participation of merriment and mirth (please note these are his words not mine!)
And he continues – Most important is to bring a sense of humour and Xmas spirit. The grand Auction is returning with our genial auctioneer. Please remember to bring raffle prizes.
This year we will be selling one ticket to each member or guest for £1, the proceeds will go to The Alzheimer’s Society. As there will be a Committee meeting before the lunch Michael Clark has kindly volunteered to sell the tickets in the bar downstairs.
Keith and I will catch those of you who have avoided Mike once you are in the dining room.
Finally, please do not reserve your seats before 12.30.
